Bargello InspirationOct 28, 2009

Love them or hate them Bargello designs are starting to make a reappearance. The distinctive zigzag look was popular in the 1960's and 80's but disappeared from the interior design radar until very recently. With a trend back to handcraft inspired techniques, eg ikat, I guess it was only a matter of time before flame stitch would be back on the scene.

The Members Only collection from Carlucci includes a wonderful Bargello-influenced design called Bridgewater House, (from the Spencer Book) which is available in 11 colourways; from eye-popping cerise and citrus to more moody neutrals and charcoals (selection below)...

Bargello-type designs are a surefire way to provide visual impact, whether on a chair, ottoman or cushions. If you are a fan we have a very limited number of Bridgewater House cushions left in stock, alternatively contact us and check out a Spencer book.
