Today is the official release date of Arte's new collections: Carapace and Maison 01. While both collections feature some incredible textures, each has a very different look.

Carapace (above) is lavish with strong metallic hues and rich organic patterning featuring moires, wood grains and reptile textures. The collection has a strong 'vintage glamour' look of old Hollywood. I particularly like the darker colours which include a graphite, flint and patinaed brass.

Maison 01 has a different look altogether. Designed by Marie Mees and Catherine Biasino, two of Europe's hottest textile designers, this stunning collection teams rigorous graphic design with a stark monochromatic palette. Motifs are modernist with perfect circles, hexagons and pixelated type patterns; clean and contemporary.
