It's great to be back in our showroom at the Mainland Design Centre. We've spent the last few days straightening cabinetry, rehanging samples and replacing the odd piece of glass. I'm amazed at how little damage our building suffered - thankfully only superficial damage. Sadly the same can't be said for a huge number of buildings in the downtown area. It is a terrible sight.

So on a brighter note as of tomorrow the MDC will be open for business. Access is via the main entrance on St Asaph Street, ditto for the parking. Welles Street continues to be off limits so please stick to St Asaph. A reopening party is in the wind - stay tuned for that. To our surprise the champagne stash survived the quake so we had better put it to good use!
